Mixed vegetables

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg frozen mixed vegetables, steamed with 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp garlic salt
  • 2 tbl butter
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 tsp garlic salt, optional
  • Pinch nutmeg
  • Pinch thyme
  • 1/4 c. bread crumbs
  • 2 tbl butter, melted.

Directions

  1. Drain vegetables, reserving juice. Add salt and butter and cover while making sauce.

  2. Add water to vegetable liquid to make 2 cups. In saucepan, combine with melted butter and flour and cook until thicked.

  3. Add cheese, grlic, nutmeg and thyme. Simmer 5 minutes. Meanwhile, combine breadcrumbs and butter. Pour vegetables into buttered dish and top with breadcrumbs.

  4. Bake 350 for 30 minutes.
