Philip’s Peanut Brittle

Have foil greased, and salt & soda measured and ready before starting

Ingredients
- 3 cups shelled peanuts
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 heaping tsp baking soda
Directions

In heavy saucepan, stir peanuts, sugar, and corn syrup until sugar melts, Stir constantly.

Add salt, continue stirring until peanuts get done. It will smell like roasted peanuts. (They will start turning light brown in a hurry and will scorch.)

When a medium brown add a heaping teaspoon of baking soda, stir. Remove quickly and pour onto a very large piece of well-greased buttered foil (heavy duty) and spread the peanut brittle.
