Hamburger Casserole

Serves 3 people
Ingredients
- 1 lb hamburger
- 1/4 lb sausage
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 package onion soup mix (dried)
- 1 egg
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1 cup self rising flour
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cup milk
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Mix hamburger, sausage, chili powder, onion soup mix, and egg in a large bowl.

Make the meat mixture into 1" meatballs and place in a baking dish. Place in the oven and cook until done.

Drain grease from the baking dish and put the meatballs in a casserole dish. Pour can of mushroom soup and 1/2 cup of milk over the meatballs.

Mix the flour, shortening, and 1 cup milk to form a dough.

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/3 inch thick.

Sprinkle dough with cheddar cheese and then roll up the dough and cheese like a jelly roll.

Slice the dough into 1 inch slices and place on top of the meatball mixture with the biscuits touching.

Bake casserole in a 350 degree oven until the biscuits are brown and the soup is bubbly
