Easy Peach Cobbler

Peach cobbler made even easier by using white bread

Ingredients

  • 1 29 oz can sliced peaches, drained
  • 5 slices white bread, crusts trimmed
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 2 tbsp self-rising flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F

  2. Place the peaches into the bottom of a buttered 9" square baking dish

  3. Cut each slice of bread into 4 strips, place over peaches

  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, egg and margarine, pour over bread

  5. Bake for 35 minutes until golden brown
