Tomato Cream Tortellini

I usually double this recipe since everyone loves it so much!
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Serves 4 people
Ingredients
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 ounces cream cheese
- 1 cup half & half, divided
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 pound bag frozen tortellini
Directions

Melt butter in a large sauce pan over medium heat.

Using a wooden spoon, add the cream cheese and stir until melted.

Reduce heat to low.

Add 1/4 cup half & half and the Parmesan cheese.

Stir constantly until smooth.

Add the remaining half & half and stir to combine.

Remove from heat.

Add the marinara sauce and garlic.

Return to low heat and simmer to combine flavors and thoroughly heat.

Cook tortellini according to directions on package.

Drain and place on individual serving plates.

Pour sauce over tortellini and serve immediately.
