Cream of Onion and Noodles

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 3 large onions, diced or sliced
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 8 ounce package cream cheese
  • 4 (14 1/2 ounces) can clear chicken broth (about 3 1/2 cups)
  • Noodles

Directions

  1. Brown onions in butter in skillet until light golden brown.

  2. Add cream cheese and 2 cans chicken broth.

  3. Bring to a boil and turn down heat and let simmer.

  4. In a pan:

  5. Bring to a boil 3-4 cups of chicken broth.

  6. Drop homemade noodles or any other in broth and cook till done.

  7. Add to onion soup mix.

  8. Stir and serve.
