Homestyle Apple Brown Betty

Ingredients
- 6 cups of your favorite cooking apples, peeled, cored, and cut into eighths
- 1 cups bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 1/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
Directions

Lightly grease the Crock-pot slow cooker stoneware.

Place apples in the bottom of the stoneware.

Combine the bread crumbs, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, brown sugar, butter, and walnuts in a mixing bowl.

Spread mixture over the apples in the stoneware.

Cover and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours or on HIGH for 2 hours or until done.
