Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 1/2 tablespoons matchstick-size strips peeled fresh ginger (about 1 ounce)
- 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon peel
Directions

Combine all ingredients in small saucepan; stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Boil until reduced to 3/4 cup, about 5 minutes.

DO AHEAD: Can be made 2 weeks ahead. Cover and chill. Rewarm before serving.
