Polenta

Ingredients
- 1 cup Corn meal
- 3 1/2 to 4 cups water
- salt
- butter (optional)
- cheese (optional)
Directions

Boil water & salt

Remove pan from heat, and slowly stir in corn meal with a whisk, until it’s all combined.

Return to heat, set heat to low, and continue to stir 1x/minute or so until polenta is cooked.

Butter, cheese, other flavorings can be added at this point.

Cooking time is about 10-15 minutes total.

For firmer polenata, allow it to cool for a bit before serving (can also be fried/grilled/broiled after cooling for a nice crisp crust)
