Ingredients
- 250g Butter
- 250g Caster Sugar
- 4 Eggs
- 1tbsp Grated orange zest
- 250g plain flour
- 2tsp baking powder
- 100ml freshly squeezed orange juice
- Topping
- 125g icing sugar
- 25ml freshly squeezed orange juice
- Takes two large oranges to get enough juice
Directions

Preheat oven 170c

Greese 22mm cake tin

Creambutter and sugar together

Add eggs 1 at a time

Add zest, flour and baking powder

Beat well and slowly add orange juice

pour into cake tin and bake for 45 – 50 mins

Topping
-
Stir orange juice into icing sugar until you have good spreading consistency. Pour over cake when still a little warm.
