Grandma’s Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
- 370g butter
- 370g Caster sugar
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 2 tbsp Cocoa
- 370g plain flour
- 3tsp baking powder
- Butter cream:
- 90g butter
- 185g icing sugar
- 1tsp cocoa mixed with 2 tsp warm water
Directions

Preheat oven 180c

Beat sugar and butter together

Add eggs – little at a time

Mix cocoa with 4tbsp of warm water and add to mixture

Gently stir in flour

Pour into two sandwhich tins

Bake for 20 mins

Butter cream middle:
-
Beat butter, icing sugar and cocoa together until smooth.

Spread onto one cake layer when cool and place other on top.
