Southern Louisiana Rice Dressing

Really good! A little spicy.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 lb liver (opt)
  • 1 med onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 small bell pepper
  • 1/2 diced celery
  • 3/4 c chopped parsley
  • 3/4 chopped green onion tops
  • 4 c hot Louisiana steamed rice

Directions

  1. In a heavy skillet brown meat and liver.

  2. Add salt,pepper,onion,celery, and bell pepper.

  3. Cook until celery is tender.

  4. Stir in rice.

  5. Add parsley and season to taste.

  6. Add green onion tops.

  7. Mix well.

  8. Simmer 15 minutes.
