Ruth Larson’s Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. dark cocoa
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. nuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Melt butter. Add cocoa. Mix well.

  2. Add sugar, egg, and vanilla; mix well.

  3. Add flour, baking powder, and nuts.

  4. Bake in greased and floured 9×13 at 350 for 25-30 minutes.

  5. Frost with chocolate frosting.
