Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp. chilled butter or margarine
- 1 c. flour
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. cream
- 3/4 c. powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp. soft butter
- 1/8 tsp. almond extract
- 1 Tbsp. cream
- food coloring as desired
Directions

Cut butter into flour. Sprinkle with cream and mix until just moistened.

Roll out to about 1/8 inch thick and cut with 1 1/2-inch cutter.

Dip one side in sugar and place on ungreased baking pan. With fork, prick each cookie in 4 parallel rows.

Bake at 375 for about 8 minutes. Sandwich with icing.

To make icing, thoroughly combine powdered sugar, soft buter, almond extract, cream, and food coloring.

Cookies are fragile—frost carefully.
