Apple crisp

Ingredients

  • 4 c slices, pared tart apples
  • 2/3 - 3/4 c packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c flour
  • 1/2 c oats
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/3 c softened butter or margarine
  • walnuts or pecans for topping

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375F. Grease 8×8 pan.

  2. Places apple slices in pan. Mix remaining ingredients thoroughly, and sprinkle over apples.

  3. Bake 30 min or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.

  4. Serve warm and with light cream or ice cream.
