Navy Beans

Ingredients

  • 2 pkgs. great northern beans
  • 1 ham bone or ham hocks

Directions

  1. Cook a ham bone in water until meat is tender and falling off. Let pan refrigerate until fat and grease have risen and hardened at the top. Skim fat off. Take the meat off the bone. Cook beans and meat in this water. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer at least 2-1/2 hours.
