Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients

  • For the Batter:
  • 2 sticks of butter at room temp
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp. ground cloves
  • For the Drink:
  • 1 & 1/2 ounces (1 shot) dark rum
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 tbsp batter

Directions

  1. Mix the butter, sugar and spices together until combined.

  2. Combine rum, water and batter in a mug

  3. *Optional: top with whipped cream

  4. Storage:

  5. Roll into a log in plastic wrap

  6. or spoon out tablespoon sized dollops onto waxed paper

  7. Refrigerate or freeze.
