potato double cheese gratin

Ingredients
- 1 lb potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 16 oz milk
- salt
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/3 cup coarsely grated swiss cheese
- 1/2 breadcrumbs or panko
- 2 tbsp parmesan

oven 350

combine potatoes, garlic, milk and salt in lg saucepan

bring to a simmer and cook for apprx 8 min or till potatoes are almost tender

blend cold water and cornstarch in a cup and stir into potato mixture

cook until liquid thickens slightly

remove from heat and stir in swiss cheese

transfer to a baking dish

combine bread crumbs and parmesan

sprinkle over potatoes

bake until browned and bubbly

let rest 20 min. before serving
