Company Lasagna

soooooo yummy and a nice kick to it thanks to the hot italian sausage

Ingredients

  • 8 oz lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound italian sausage, hot
  • 1/2 pound ground beef, lean
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons basil , dried
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (32 oz) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 (16 oz) container ricotta cheese
  • 1 pound mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1 cup parmesean cheese, grated

Directions

  1. Cook lasagna according to package directions, drain

  2. preheat oven to 375 F

  3. In large pot (while noodles are cooking), cook sausage and beef ; drain.

  4. Add onion and garlic, cooking until onion is tender.

  5. Add next five ingredients and simmer 15 minutes.

  6. In small bowl, blend egg and Ricotta cheese.

  7. In bottom of 9×13 pan spread 1/3 of the sauce mixture. Then layer 1/3 lasagna, followed by 1/3 of the ricotta, 1/3 of the mozzarella and 1/3 of the parmesean.

  8. Repeat layering until ingredients are used up.

  9. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

  10. Uncover and bake 20 minutes longer

  11. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting
