Cream Wafers

These little cookies melt in your mouth!

Ingredients
- Cookies:
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1/3 c. whipping cream
- 2 c. flour
- Granulated sugar
- Filling:
- 1/4 c. butter, softened
- 3/4 c. powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 t. vanilla
Directions

Mix butter, cream, and flour thoroughly.

Chill for 1 hour.

Heat oven to 375 degrees.

Roll dough to 1/8 in. thick on lightly floured board.

Cut into 1 1/2 in. rounds.

Transfer to waxed paper heavily sprinkled with sugar, turning to coat both sides.

Place on ungreased baking sheet.

Prick in 4 places with fork.

Bake 7 to 9 minutes, or until slightly puffy.

Cool completely.

Meanwhile, blend to combine all filling ingredients.

Put two cooled cookies together will filling in the middle.

Makes approximately 5 dozen.
