Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 tsp corn syrup
  • 2 squares baker's unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 2 tbsp sweet butter
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla
  • pinch of salt

Directions

  1. in a saucepan, mix sugar, corn syrup, chocolate and half and half over a low heat and stir occasionally

  2. boil until it forms a soft ball when dropped in water. QIt should hold together when rolled between fingers.

  3. add butter, vanilla and poinch of salt

  4. let cool for about 10 min.

  5. beat with wooden spoon until thick and creamy

  6. pour into buttered pan and wait to cool to cut into squares
