Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Strawberry cake mix
- Strawberry juice or nectar
- 12 oz. seedless strawberry jam
- Strawberries, sliced
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 4 Tb. softened butter
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 lb. powdered sugar
Directions

Prepare cake batter according to package directions, except substitute strawberry juice for water. Pour into two round 9” cake pans and bake according to directions. Cool completely.

To prepare frosting, beat together the cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer. Add vanilla and beat. Slowly beat in powdered sugar.

To assemble the cake, slice both cakes in half horizontally. Place one layer on the cake plate and spread on half the jam. Place another layer of cake on top and spread with frosting. Place another layer of cake on top and spread with the remaining jam. Top with the final layer of cake. Frost the outside of the cake and top with sliced strawberries.
