Bombay Salad

Serves 10 people

Ingredients

  • 8 crisp apples, cored and thinly sliced
  • 4 cups mayonnaise
  • Half of a 16 oz bottle of chutney
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbl. curry powder
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup toasted coconut
  • 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds
  • 2 to 4 tbl. orange marmalade, optional, if additional sweetening is necessary.

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients i a bowl, tossing gently to mix well without breaking the apple silces.

  2. transfer to a serving bowl, cover and chill until ready to serve.
