Ingredients
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup AP flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3.5 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/3 cup oil, in 2 parts
Directions

Mix the dry team.

Mix the wet team with 1/2 the oil.

Combine wet and dry team.

Add the other 1/2 of the oil to a cast iron skillet that has been in a 400°F oven.

Return to 400°F oven for ~20 minutes or until done.
