Kaya

Ingredients

  • 3 dessert spoons sugar
  • 2 more dessert spoons sugar later
  • 1 tsp. oil
  • 100 ml coconut milk - Ayam brand
  • 2 eggs
  • Pandan ess.
  • Pinch salt

Directions

  1. In ceramic pot, put in 3 spoons sugar with a tsp. oil and let it melt till brown.

  2. Pour in coconut milk to stir till the sugar dissolve, using low heat.

  3. Off heat and add in another 2 spoons of sugar.

  4. Leave it to cool completely, important.

  5. Lightly beat the 2 eggs and sieved into the cooled coconut syrup.

  6. Use a low heat, stir with hand-whisk for about 10 mins or more till it coated the back of the spoon.

  7. Off heat before it is really thick, just sticky will do, as it will be harder when cool.

  8. A pinch of salt can be added.
