Goan Prawn Curry

Serves 4 peopleIngredients
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 Tbsp veg. oil
- 1" cinnamon stick
- 5 cardamoms
- 6 cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp ginger, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic, chopped
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 2 tsp fresh coriander, chopped
Directions

Fry onion in oil for 3-4 minutes.

Add cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves and bay leaf.

Fry 1-2 minutes more.

Add ginger and garlic.

Fry 1 minute.

Add green pepper, water and tomatoes and bring to a boil.

Add chili, cumin and coriander powders, salt and prawns.

Cover and bring to a boil.

Cook 10-15 minutes.

Add chopped coriander and chillies.
