Ingredients
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2-3 Tbsp oil
- 1-2 tsp cumin seeds
- 6 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 8 cardamom
- 1/4 cup fresh or frozen peas
Directions

Soak basmati for a few hours. Rinse and drain.

Hea oil and cumin seeds until seed start to pop.

Add cloves, cinnamon stick, cardamom and fry for 2-3 minutes.

Add rice to oil and spices.

Brown rice.

Add peas.

Add water; enough to cover 1-1/2 to 2 " over the rice.

Steam cook with lid until rice is done.
