Scalloped Potatoes

Prep time: 30 minutes
Cook time: 105 minutes
Serves 6 people
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 cups milk
- 4 cups potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs (optional)
Directions

In saucepan, melt butter.

Blend in flour and S&P.

Gradually stir in milk and heat until almost boiled, stirring constantly.

Put half of potatoes and half of onions in bottom of 2 quart casserole dish.

Pour half of sauce over.

Repeat layers

Sprinkle top with bread crumbs (optional).

Cover and bake at 350 F for 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours.

Check after half of the time and add milk if required.

Uncover and bake for 15 minutes longer.
