Ingredients
- 1/2 cup long grain brown rice
- 1 cup dried green or yellow lentils, rinsed
- 1 onion, coarsely chopped
- Salt, to taste
- 2-3 Tbsp oil
Directions

Heat oil.

Cook onion in oil until carmelizede (dark brown).

In large pot combine rice, lentils and onion.

Add 4-5 cups water.

Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer until water absorbed and lentils soft.

Stir occassionally, add more water if necessary.

Season with salt to taste.
