Ingredients
- * 1 1/2 cups sugar
- * 1 1/2 cups cornstarch
- * 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- * 8 cups non-fat dry milk

Mix and store in a plastic bag or air tight container; keep in a cool place. For vanilla pudding, use 1 1/2 cups pudding mix with 2 1/2 cups cold tap water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Continue simmering, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens, about 10 minutes. Let it come to a rolling boil; remove from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon butter or margarine and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

For chocolate pudding, mix together 1/3 cup cocoa and 1/4 cup sugar and add to the pudding mix before water.
