Scones

These are very filling. I break the dough in half and form two 6 inch circles.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups cream
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions

cut butter into flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder until crumbly.

add 1 1/4 cups cream stirring until just moistened.

turn dough out onto lightly floured surface and knead 5 times.

spread into 8 inch circle and cut into 8 wedges.

Place on greased cookie sheet.

Brush with remaining 1/4 cup cream and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar.

Bake at 425 degrees for 13 to 15 minutes.
