Pan Fried Fish

Ingredients

  • 1-lb. fish
  • 1/4-cup flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2-cup cornmeal
  • 1 1/2-tsp. garlic peper seasoning
  • 3/4-cup vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Place flour on wax paper.

  2. Beat egg with 1 tablespoon water in shallow dish. Blend cornmeal and 3/4tsp. garlic pepper seasoning in separate shallow dish.

  3. Pat fish dry, sprinkle fish with remaining 3/4tsp. garlic pepper. Lightly coat fish in flour. Dip fillet in egg mixture to coat, then dip in cornmeal to coat.

  4. In skillet heat oil until hot but not smoking over medium-high heat. Add fish fillets and cook about 3 to 6 minutes per side until fish flakes easily in thickest part
