Festival of Trees Scones

Ingredients
- 3 cups warm buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons yeast
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 beaten eggs
- 6 cups flour
- 3 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons salt
Directions

Add yeast, sugar, oil, and eggs to buttermilk.

Then sift and add remaining ingredients.

Knead lightly and let rise 1 hour.

Add more flour if needed to make a soft dough.

cut to desired size and drop into hot oil. **Can refrigerate dough for up to one week.
