Sweet-and-Sour Meatballs

Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup finely chopped water chestnuts
- 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
Directions

In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients.

Crumble beef over mixture and mix well.

Shape into 1 inch balls.

Place in a greased 15 by 10 by 1 inch baking pan.

Bake, uncovered or until meat is no longer pink.

Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine the first five sauce ingredients until smooth; add onion.

Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.

Drain meatballs; top with sauce.
