Blue Cheese Palmiers

Ingredients
- 1 (8 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 4.4 ounces Rosenborg Danish traditional Blue Cheese, finely chopped or crumbled
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- Sesame seeds
Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Roll out pastry to 12 × 8 inch rectangle.

With pastry lengthwise on work surface, scatter half blue cheese over 2/3 of pastry.

Fold over final 1/2 to cover half of the cheese-topped pastry; press down evenly.

Press cheese into remaining third; fold over to make 8 by 4 inch rectangle.

Press edges together with rolling pin.

Roll to 8 inch square; cut in half.

Mix remaining blue cheese with Parmesan; divide into 4 parts.

Scatter 1/4 blue cheese mixture over each pastry strip; press in with fingers.

Fold each end into center.

Repeat with remaining cheese, folding in ends again, pressing along each pastry double “roll” with rolling pin.

Finally, push sides together, ending with 2 rolls.

Wrap each roll in plastic wrap; chill.

Slice each roll into 12 slices.

Place on baking sheet; brush with beaten egg.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.

Serve warm.
