Tollhouse Mini-Morsels Crumb Cake

Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup chocolate mini-morsels
  • Cake:
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups mini-morsels

Directions

  1. eheat oven to 350.

  2. Grease 9×13 cake pan.

  3. For topping:

  4. Combine brown sugar, flour and butter in small bowl with pastry blender or fork till crumbly. Stir in nuts and 1/2 cup mini-morsels. Set aside.

  5. For cake:

  6. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in small bowl.

  7. In large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

  8. Add vanilla.

  9. Gradually add flour mixture alternately with sour cream.

  10. Fold in remaining mini-morsels (1 1/2 cups).

  11. Spread in prepared pan.

  12. Sprinkle on topping.

  13. Bake 25-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean

  14. Serve warm (best!) or cooled.
