Tortilla Soup

Serves 4 people

Ingredients
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 5 cups of chicken broth
- 1 14 oz. can of diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 jalepeno, seeded and quartered
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- 1 teaspoon of chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
- dash of pepper
- 6 small corn tortillas
- 1/2 cup of montery jack cheese
- 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese
Directions

Sautee first three ingredients with 2 tablespoons of chicken broth for 5 minutes.

Add the rest of the ingredients down to the pepper.

Boil for 12 minutes, then add tortillas and boil 5 more minutes.

Turn off and let sit for a few minutes.

Add cheese to bowls before serving.
