Cream Cheese Frosting

Yield: Frosting for top and sides of a 9" 3-layer cake. To be used with Carrot Cake Recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 C sifted confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 lb cream cheese
  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Sift sugar into the bowl of an electric mixer. Beat in remaining ingredients.

  2. Beat until smooth and creamy.
