Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 7 quarts popped corn
  • 2 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 c light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 c margarine
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Place corn in a shallow baking pan.

  2. Preheat ove to 12oC.

  3. Combine sugar, syrup, margarine and salt in a pot, bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 5 minutes while stirring constantly.

  4. Remove from the heat and add soda and vanilla.

  5. Pour over the popcorn immediately.

  6. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15minutes.

  7. Turn the cook popcorn onto waxed paper and separate into pieces.

  8. Allow to cool before storing in airtight containers.
