Ingredients
- 2 tbl. olive oil
- 1 small Spanish onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- Pinch of red chili flakes
- 1 (28oz can) plum tomatoes with juices, pureed
- 2 tbl. fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper
Directions

Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.

Add onions and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.

Add garlic and chili flakes; cook 1 minute.

Add tomatoes, increase heat to high and cook until thickened (about 20 min.) Stir occasionally.

Stir in basil; season with salt and pepper to taste
