Shepherd’s pie

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup beef substitute
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 24 oz brown gravy
  • 1 can sliced carrots
  • 1 can green beans or peas
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme leaves
  • 1/2 cup grated American cheese
  • 5 cups mashed potatoes

Directions

  1. Saute first 5 ingredients.

  2. Add juice from carrots if necessary.

  3. Season with salt and pepper

  4. Add remaining ingredients.

  5. pour into baking dish.

  6. top with mashed potatoes.

  7. Sprinkle with cheese.

  8. ke 30-35 min at 375.
