cottage cheese cake

shavuot! original recipe asked for 750g curd cheese and 400 ml cream.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar (125g)
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour (200g)
  • 125g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1kg cottage cheese
  • 5 eggs, egg white and york separated
  • 3/4 cup sugar (200g)
  • 100 ml of whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 3-4 tablespoons of starch

Directions

  1. The ingredients for the dough (shortcrust) are kneaded and the dough is put into a greased removable-bottom tin.

  2. cottage cheese, sugar and yolk and starch are stirred and the whipping cream is added.

  3. beat the egg whites until stiff and add to the cheese.

  4. fill the tin, cover, and bake at 175° C for 1 h (until it stops jiggling) .
