Strawberry Crumble Bars

Serves 12 people

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Original Bisquick
  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
  • 1 cup strawberry spreadable fruit, jam or preserves

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Grease square pan, 9 by 9 by 2 inches.

  3. Mix Bisquick, oats and brown sugar in large bowl.

  4. Cut in margarine, using fork or pastry blender, until mixture is crumbly.

  5. Press half of the crumbly mixture in pan.

  6. Spread spreadable fruit over crumbly mixture to within 1/4 inch of edges.

  7. Top with remaining crumbly mixture; press gently into fruit.

  8. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until light brown; cool.

  9. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.
