Rice Pilaf

Serve with Marinated Beef Kabobs.

Cook time: 60 minutes
Serves 2 people

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • handful golden raisins
  • handful slivered almonds
  • 1 cube beef bullion or 2 cups beef broth

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan.

  2. Pour the rice in and stir, cooking until brown. Watch for burning!

  3. Add the water and cover.

  4. Simmer for 40 minutes.

  5. Add almonds and raisins, stir.

  6. Simmer another 15 minutes.

  7. Let stand 5 minutes.
