barley pilaf

Ingredients

  • 4/3 cups barley
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup onions
  • chicken stock
  • 1/4 cup marg

Directions

  1. in 2 quart casserole dish put slice mushrooms then saute in marge.

  2. add and cook till brown 1/2 cup onion chopped. remove from heat.

  3. add barley. 2 cups water 2 tsp chicken pwder.

  4. bake covered 30 min at 350 F stir in 2 more cups chicken broth.

  5. bake 30 min more covered.

  6. stir in 1 more cup chicken broth bake 20 min more uncovered.
