Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 (18 ounce) jars chunky peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 cups quick-cooking oats, uncooked
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate morsels

Directions

  1. Beat butter and peanut butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until fluffy; gradually add sugar and brown sugar, beating well.

  2. Add eggs and vanilla; mixing well.

  3. Combine oats and baking soda; add to butter mixture, mixing well.

  4. Stir in morsels; drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

  5. Bake at 350° degrees for 9-10 minutes.

  6. Cool on cookie sheets 5 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
