Ingredients
- 4 lbs sweet potatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, melted
- 1/2 cup half-and-half
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg (I omit, personal preference)
- 40 large marshmallows
Directions

Place potatoes and salt in a large pot.

Add water to cover; bring to a boil; boil for 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender; drain.

Let potatoes cool until you can handle them; peel and cut into chunks.

Place potatoes, butter, half-and-half, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl.

Beat using an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.

Spoon potato mixture into a lightly greased 13×9 inch baking dish.

Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

Top with marshmallows; bake 15 more minutes or until golden.
