Country Gravy

If gravy becomes too thick you can thin it with a little more milk

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 4 cups milk

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over med-heat.

  2. Whisk in flour, salt and pepper until smooth.

  3. Cook and stir over med-heat until browned (10 mins).

  4. Gradually stir in milk so that no lumps form and continue cooking and stirring until thickened.
