Ingredients

• One layer cake
• One quart of ice cream
• 2/3 cup sugar
• 5 egg whites, beaten
• Berries, optional

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 450

2. Beat the egg whites with the sugar

3. Trim the layer cake to 1" bigger than block of ice cream (on all sides)

4. Place ice cream on top of cake

5. Cover completely with meringue

6. Bake in oven for 5 minutes

7. Garnish with berries
