Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 18 medium asparagus spears, bottoms snapped
- 1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- coarse salt, to taste
Directions

In a big skillet, bring the water to a boil; add the asparagus; cook, covered, about 4 minute or to desired doneness; drain.

Return asparagus to skillet; add the butter; cook over medium heat, tossing until the butter melts; add the lemon juice and salt; toss.

*May substitute 1/2 lb green beans (3 cups) for the asparagus
